Surveys and Research

This page contains samples of work I can produce for Architectural and Engineers' practices. As well as working drawings for planning and listed building consent, I can also produce measured elevation drawings. I can produce condition surveys of everything from doors and windows to a complete timber frame which identify where problems exist, accepted repair techniques, proposed remedial treatments and long-term maintenance plans. I can also research a building's history. All can then be used to provide a comprehensive archive of information for the client.

Before any construction starts for any new build project, the design is always shown to the client for approval!
A sample of an on-site survey drawing prior to dismantling. All elements to be dismantled are catalogued, photographed, measured and recorded so a precise reconstruction can be made later.
A sample of a drawing produced for architects' and engineers' approval. Often the solution to curing a building's problems comes from involving dialogue and debate between the different parties involved in its conservation.
A working drawing submitted to the local planning authority for listed building consent. (which was succesfully granted!).
Working drawings for new joinery. Drawings for architectural practices and local authority approval can be by hand, or produced on a variety of popular CAD software. Please email me for more information.
A simple elevation drawing may suffice, especially for local authority related projects. Email me for more information on drawings.
An example of a traditional pen and ink drawing. I can produce these as part of a research package or individually as a one-off for clients.
